Age question

cgoeschel Joined: 07/01/08 Posts: 3	Age question Posted Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 10:59 PM Im interested in a career as a police officer with the LVMPD, but at 37 years of age Im wondering if that puts me at a disadvantage in seeking employment with the department. My physical fitness level is very good so I dont think that would be an issue and my background is completely clean. Can you comment?

I am a retired police officer from California now living in LV and am much older than you. I have applied and am seriously considering going back into police work. I dread the idea of going through the academy again but all they can do is kill me, right. You should be able to do it in my professional opinion. Work hard and stay focused. gonzo Joined: 09/22/08 Posts: 2	RE: Age question Posted Monday, September 22, 2008 at 1:23 PM My husband is 53 and in excelant condtion for his age he passed the writen, physical,and orral at begining of june and was exspecting to be called for the accadomy in October but still heard nothing, he is wondering if his age is now aganist him. Was wondering if anyone reads this that was at that testing has heard anything yet?
