Any workouts available? Posted Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 8:14 PM Just yesterday i got the call to schedule my medical for the upcoming academy and was wondering if there are any workouts that any other recruits are doing? I also was wondering if were allowed to run around the academy grounds where we ran for the orientation is allowed in the weeks prior as ill be moving to Vegas just before July and would like to get acquainted with the new enviroment and utilize the stairs in the park area. |

You can do workouts every wednesday and Thursday at 1000 at Doolittle Community Center This is conducted by LVMPD Recruiting Officer Thomas Gorton. I went this week and it was a very good intense cardio workout. I am going on vacation until june 4th and after, I will be there every week conductiong PT. As far as the other days if you would like to get together and have a study group and PT sessions with myself and another guy who is going to be in the academy with us, email me at cab623@gmail.com or call me after June 4th at 702-335-2406 and we can get together and prepare for the academy since we will be there together. Ill probably be getting into Vegas on the 27th of June as my wife has to finish up her teaching year here in maryland. Ill definately get in touch when i am in Vegas. |

The last I heard is that they are taking 23 or 24 in the next academy and 11 or 12 cadets for a total of 34 to 35 person academy. I withdrew from the testing process back Jan,because of personal reasons and going back to school to get a degree in liberal arts/criminal justice. Hopefully next testing process I be better prepare for this exams. |
