when can I expect to be in the academy? Posted Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 12:45 PM I am in the background process for police recruit and have finished everything. I took the written test in septmember and now I am just waiting to hear back from my background investigator to see if I'm in the academy. From this part of the process how long do you think it could be until I can be in the academy? I remember at the first testing the recruiters saying it is a three to four month process. |

Posted Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 10:40 AM I took my test on Sep as well, and after speaking to my background investigator, he said it would be at least till Jan, Feb. I won't see the final board until december sometime. So expect to hear from them then. And from there, I am going to guess that they will tell you about when to start in the academy. |

If you are done with all your testing then your entire packet goes through final review board. You are not part of this process, this is basically to ensure all the "t's" are crossed and the " i "'s are dotted. |

You are correct that review board will met 12/3 then if all is clear you will get a call for a physical for Jan/Feb academy depending on rank.....COme to PT courses on Tues/Thurs and Friday, big help in preparation. THis is a gret way to get connected with others that may be in the academy...You made is so far so feel good, the anticipation kills but it's there to give you time to prepare. |
