Will metro hold any academies this year? Posted Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 7:03 PM Hi everyone I tested in April 09 as probably many of you and for how long they are going to have that hiring freeze because the time is running out. Is there anything else going on anybody know something they told me there is nothing yet. Thanks |

I did hear a very, very unofficial rumor that is nothing more than a rumor that they may either do a mini physical retest to extend our test expiration dates or something to that nature. Never heard anything more than that though. Just sit tight and keep running guys. |

I have heard no rumors or official news from anyone on my end, only raised eyebrows and condolences. I feel we will probably time out and have to re-test again, which can be a good thing if you wish to improve your standing or rank. One thing is certain; they will have another academy one day, it’s just the when that’s the question. |

It’s time to ramp up the training and sort out responsibilities because when the academy starts you will have little time for anything else. Hopefully the rest of the folk left behind hung in there too. |

Did your BI say how many recruits they were looking to put in the academy? Were you given a specific academy start date? Good luck. |

RE: Will metro hold any academies this year? Posted Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 12:33 AM I've heard that Sept's academy will be a 45 man academy. Made up of 7-9 cadets and the rest recruits. That leaves roughly 36-38 spots open for regular recruits. I'm praying for a bigger academy though as I am also part of March's testing group and am fairly at the top of my list. |
