I wish I could say that. I've been preparing for years, and now that I was finally old enough to test, I had a bad day on the PT test and failed the sit-ups. I would love to be in the academy, but my chance is gone for a couple years. Everyone who got in before the big slow down is lucky. They were able to test every month and get into academies 6 months later. We all long for those days back. Good luck to everyone in the upcoming academy. If yu want things to study, start with the 400 codes. From there, start learning about the department (chain of command, organization, history, etc.). You can find most of that info under the "About Us" section of www.LVMPD.com. It would also be good to memorize the common NRS statutes (i.e. Burglary, Robbery, Murder, etc.) Other than that, start running and working out as much as you can. I'm sure you've seen that a lot, but listen and do it. Get your diet in order, too. If you go into the academy in poor PT condition, or with a bad diet, you'll suffer big time.
