Tips for Pedestrians
- Walk in designated areas and avoid walking in traffic.
- Always use a designated crosswalk.
- Do not jaywalk.
- Avoid using any electronic item that interferes with your ability to observe and listen to your surroundings.
- Stay alert to what vehicles are doing and do not challenge them, even if you have the right of way.
Tips for Motorcyclists
- Wear proper clothing, shoe protection and head protection.
- Do not pull out or in front of vehicles or pedestrians who may not see you.
- Adhere to posted speed limits and avoid reckless maneuvers.
Tips for Vehicle Drivers
- PAY ATTENTION AND AVOID SELF CREATED DISTRACTIONS! Do not eat, read, apply cosmetics, talk or text, etc. when driving. Driving is not a multi-tasking activity!
- Do not allow road rage or hostile actions by other drivers to cause you to be at risk.
- Do not create road rage or hostile actions by being impatient, aggressive, or rude.
- Pay attention to and FOLLOW ALL POSTED TRAFFIC SIGNS/SIGNALS including red, yellow and green lights, speed limits, stop/yield signs, crosswalks, etc.
